ACCA In India

ACCA is a membership in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants,UK; A professional qualification in the field of Accountancy Auditing and Taxation. It is popularly known as British CA,this course is similar to the CA in India and CPA of the USA. This course enables one to become the member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants of the United kingdom. ACCA examination are conducted directly by ACCA in June and December.

ACCA professionals are allowed to work in India and in many other countries, since this programme is accepted and followed in 170 countries. About Exam

You have to be exempted or have to pass 14 papers (12 compulsory papers and 2 out of 4 optional papers) to be exam qualified for ACCA. These are divided into fundamental and professional levels. The fundamental level is further divided onto knowledge module and skill module. The knowledge module has 3 papers and can be equated to the foundation stage of most professional accountancy qualifications. The skills module has 6 papers and caqn be equated to the intermediate level. The professional level or the final stage has 3 papers in the Essential module where the students can select any 2 out of 4 papers.

Experience 

To qualify for ACCA, you need 3 years of relevant experience which can be achieved before the studies, together with the studies or after passing the exam. The experience can be any relevant experience gained from practice,industry or services.
